Mobile Inspections for Wellington’s Equestrian Community

From professional horse haulers and training barns to feed and bedding suppliers, Wellington’s equestrian businesses rely on trucks and trailers. We bring annual vehicle inspections to a suitable barn parking area, facility yard or business location. We also serve work trucks, delivery vehicles and fleets in Wellington’s industrial area.

Whether you are based here year-round or moving horses in and out for the season, send the local address where your vehicles will be available. Plan the appointment between hauling commitments, include gate instructions and provide a barn or transport contact. Keep the inspection area separate from horse-handling activity.

Horse transportation & inspection requirements

Does Every Horse Trailer Need an Annual DOT Inspection?

No. Requirements depend on the vehicle, its use and the applicable regulations. Personal horse transportation and hauling connected with a business are not automatically treated the same.

FMCSA describes an exception for qualifying non-business horse transportation. If you are unsure which requirements apply, provide the truck and trailer weight ratings, whether you cross state lines and how the hauling relates to your business.

Read FMCSA’s guidance on non-business horse transportation. State requirements may also apply. You can also contact us with your vehicle and operating details before scheduling.

Hands-on inspection service

An In-Person Inspection, With Clear Documentation

Our qualified inspector physically examines the vehicle, completes the annual inspection and explains the findings, including any issues that prevent a passing result.

What We Examine

Applicable components include brakes, steering, suspension, tires and wheels, lighting, coupling devices, frame, fuel and exhaust systems, and windshield and wipers.

The inspection follows the requirements applicable to the vehicle and its equipment.

What You Receive

A completed inspection report, with passing documentation and an inspection decal when the vehicle meets the applicable requirements.

Completed reports are also available through the Client Portal.

An annual inspection appointment is separate from an enforcement roadside inspection. Passing documentation depends on the vehicle’s condition at the time of inspection.

Common questions

Wellington Inspection Questions

What days do you inspect in Wellington?

Our regular Palm Beach County schedule is Monday through Saturday. Appointment availability depends on our planned routes and the number and location of vehicles to be inspected.

Can you inspect at our barn or equestrian facility?

Yes, with the property’s permission and a suitable place to work safely. Provide the facility address, gate instructions and a contact person. Position the equipment away from horse-handling areas and have trailers empty of horses for the inspection.

Can you inspect our pickup and horse trailer together?

Yes. Include both in the request and have them available at the same location. Each is a separate inspection unit. Let us know the trailer type and have a suitable tow vehicle available if needed to check lighting, brakes or other equipment.

Can we schedule while visiting Wellington for the season?

Yes. Use the local address where the vehicles will be available, rather than an out-of-state mailing address. Include your preferred date and any travel deadlines. Appointments depend on location and availability.

Can I schedule just one truck or trailer?

Yes. We inspect individual commercial vehicles as well as fleets. The first unit is $100, and additional units inspected together at the same location are $80 each.

What happens if a vehicle does not pass?

We document the inspection findings. Inspection fees apply whether the vehicle passes or fails. Review our inspection and reinspection policy for how corrective work and any required return visit are handled.

Do you serve locations outside Wellington?

Yes. See our service-area map and route schedule for other locations. Include the address where the vehicles will be parked so we can confirm service availability.
